Individual Counseling and Psychotherapy

Are you feeling stressed, anxious, lonely, or sad?
In my private practice, I offer compassion-focused individual counseling and psychotherapy consultation. Together, we’ll work to help you reconnect with yourself and with the people and values that matter most to you.

Life can feel overwhelming whether from family responsibilities, relationship struggles, work, or school pressures. Many of us are told to simply ‘push through,’ but that approach often leaves us exhausted. In therapy, you’ll learn how to pause, breathe, and stay present in daily moments, even when life feels demanding.

Research led by psychologist Kristin Neff shows that people who practice self-compassion lead healthier, more productive lives than those who are highly self-critical. While many believe that self-criticism drives motivation, it often leads instead to anxiety, low confidence, and depression. By learning to be kinder to yourself, you can support your mental health and discover greater resilience and effectiveness.

Anchoring yourself in who you are and what you care about and fostering connection in your life helps you deeply know and take care of yourself.

How individual counseling can help support you in a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere:

  • Increase self-awareness so you have more choices in how you respond to yourself and others
  • Explore your own story and patterns in relationships to develop perspective and effect change
  • Help strengthen your sense of and your connection to self
  • Feel more calm and balanced so you can handle challenging situations in your life
  • Incorporate mindfulness and self-compassion techniques in your daily life to reduce stress and enhance feelings of well-being and joy.
