Family consultation with or without your family
We all need a little help sometimes. As a family systems-oriented therapist, I offer tools and strategies to support you. Family therapy and conswith or even without your family member(s) can help you when you are feeling stuck in repeating patterns that don’t serve you well. Whatever the issue at hand, we can work on solving things together in a compassionate, supportive and encouraging manner.
By focusing on you and your unique situation, we can create space for you to thrive.
Below are some ways I can help you:
- Explore your own family tree to understand past patterns and chart a new course forward
- Increase your ability to identify what you are feeling and how to process emotions effectively.
- Provide a safe space for you to create boundaries and handle conflict comfortably.
- Talk about major life events or changes, including illness and divorce with your family
- Improve communication skills
- Heal past hurts and create more positive (for you) connections with adult family members.
- Learn how to take care of you and your own feelings and needs.
“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible – the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family. ~ Virginia Satir
I value gender, sexual, racial, class, body neutrality, disability and religious/spiritual identity and acknowledge that I am living and working on unceded Algonquin territory.
