Individual Counseling and Psychotherapy

Are you feeling stressed, anxious, lonely or sad? My private practice offers compassion-focused, individual counseling and consultation video sessions. Our work together can help you connect more effectively with yourself and with who and what you care about most.

Whether it is family, relationships, work or school pressures we can all feel stressed to do more with less and less time. Learn how to take a breath and stay in the daily moments of life despite the prevailing ‘push through’ mentality.

Psychologist Kristin Neff, spearheaded important research which found that, “people who are more self-compassionate lead healthier and more productive lives than those who are self-critical…Many people believe that they need to be self-critical to motivate themselves, but in fact they just end up feeling anxious, incompetent and depressed.” Among Dr. Neff’s many important findings is the fact that people who are kinder to themselves have better mental health and actually wind up performing better than those who are not.

Anchoring yourself in who you are and what you care about and fostering connection in your life helps you deeply know and take care of yourself.

How individual counseling can help support you in a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere:

  • Explore your own story and patterns in relationships to develop perspective and effect change
