One of the ways I help couples is with Gottman Couples Therapy, an approach based on 40 years of groundbreaking research by psychologist, John Gottman. I have completed level 1, 2 and 3 of this couple training.
The Gottman Method aims to help you feel more connected to each other, increase respect, empathy & affection, resolve conflict successfully, generate greater understanding between partners and keep conflict discussions calm.
Together, in a safe and warm atmosphere you will learn to reconnect and rekindle your friendship and passion for each other. Gottman couples therapy is a positive, solution-focused process to help you address what’s happening right now and take a look at your conflict cycle so it becomes a more productive one.
Gottman’s Sound House Theory is designed to support you individually and as a couple so you can learn to make your life dreams come true. It is the most user-friendly, integrative, and effective method of couples therapy, based on the largest and most complete body of research.
I draw from a variety of approaches and techniques, including Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and shame resilience/empathy building and incorporate what is most helpful for you as a couple.
I value and affirm neurodiversity, gender, sexual, class, body neutrality, disability, race, ethno-religion, religion and spiritual identity.
