From Couple to Parents
Having a new baby can be stressful but laying the groundwork for a nurturing home and family is absolutely possible! Together, we will explore ways to stay connected with your partner, communicate and deal with conflict, and strengthen partner friendship and intimacy.
Couples & Conflict: What’s Your Style?
Conflict is part of life & every couple has their own conflict cycle style. This class will help you identify yours and find ways to express conflict constructively while still remaining connected.
How To Manage Your Child’s Intense Feelings
All people get angry, worried, or scared. What can we do for ourselves and for our children as we grapple with these and other challenging emotions? This class will help you to: Identify what makes you angry • Handle conflict in a constructive manner • Teach your children how to identify emotions • Express anger safely • Improve family communication • Forge stronger relationships.
Mojo Mom Group
Connect with other moms & Learn essential skills to take care of You
A weekly, on-going group where we will address topics such as:
- Being a Mom without losing your sense of self
- Nurturing and connecting to You
- Learning cutting-edge strategies to feel closer to your mate in spite of sleep deprivation and busy “to do” lists
- Exploring mindfulness and self-compassion techniques (New research shows these skills are vital for optimal mental health)
- Navigating staying home or heading back to the office
- Sharing and forging meaningful connections with the other women in the group
Space is limited in order to encourage group connection.
DC Dad’s Group
Support and Community for DC-area Dads
Dads need some support, too! Join an on-going men’s weekly discussion group for fathers (of kids of all ages). This weekly group will address the wide array of issues that come with parenthood, including but not limited to: Balancing and finding meaningful work/life goals, connecting with your mate and baby/kids, changing relationships with your own parents and family & meeting up with other dads. Group starts early October in NW DC.
Jen has worked with couples and families for almost 20 years. Many of Jen’s clients are men who want to be engaged and present for their kids, mates, and their own parents.

Parents in Tune Series
Learn to feel less stress and more connection to yourself and your family
Do you sometimes wonder:
- Is it okay to be bored when I’m with my kids?
- How do I handle temper tantrums and other intense feelings?
- How can I incorporate more joy and ritual into our daily life?
- How do I practice mindfulness when no one else in my family is?
These questions and more will be explored during a restorative workshop through discussion art gentle movement guided meditation. With Jen and Kate Kelly. We’ll integrate the latest neuroscience with our own innate wisdom and discover how “tuning into ourselves” can powerfully inform/open up our experience with parenting.
